Mission Statement:
TAKSHEEL FOUNDATION aims to provide opportunities for education and health support that allow all children to experience and aspire towards a better standard of living and better prepare for the future.
Vision Statement:
TAKSHEEL FOUNDATION's long term vision is a community where every child's basic needs are met. In order to accomplish this in the short term we aim to set up learning and health centres within communities where it is required. We hope that the establishment of such centres will not only allow children to reach for their goals from a better platform but also have the added effect of inspiring people to make a difference in the lives of the future through financial generosity and volunteer commitment.
TF Volunteers :
Having always been a crusader of children and their welfare, the Foundation gives me an opportunity and helps me in my endeavor to give children hope and salvage any helplessness. The umbrella of TAKSHEEL FOUNDATION will surely make this world a better place for so many children and their aspirations and they will walk upright with their head held high. TF helps me to take this big step in a small way.

Realising that I have been lucky in many ways, I felt the need to give back to society. Doing my bit to make life better for other people without any selfish motives gives me a sense of fulfillment . Today when I work with TF I realise that it is not the needy and poor that are benefiting from my work but the other way round. Seeing their passion for knowledge and the religiousness with which they participate in our activities, gives me a sense of achievement and elation beyond compare. I feel like I have accomplished something in life. Some people say there is no social work without personal gain. Maybe they are right. I gain something everyday from TF.

Having been a teacher for so many years and having Taksheel as one of my favourite students, it was natural to get involved with TF. I agree with the belief of the Foundation that by educating the underpriviledged children, we are providing them with opportunities for a decent life in the future. You can always count on my support.

I am a teacher with almost 20 years of experience, having taught in schools in Mumbai and Delhi. I have been wanting to help others and TF has provided me with this perfect platform to do something. I realise the importance of education. I hope to improve their communication skills and help them feel more confident. I am grateful to TF for giving me this opportunity to help the Foundation and these children.

I am a faculty member at TISS. Primarily I am in it for Taksheel and secondly because I believe that reaching out to others is a way of giving back to society.

I love children & teaching them gives me immense pleasure & satisfaction. I chose to be a part of TAKSHEEL FOUNDATION because of my attachment to my wonderful student, Taksheel, who was part of my first batch. The children of the weaker section of society are equally talented, intelligent & have a lot of potential, but due to circumstances & lack of finances are unable to find place in the main stream. This Foundation is a kind effort to prepare the children of this society to face the challenges of life. Our Foundation is making a conscious effort to make a difference.

I am a visiting school principal from Canada , teaching the students in grades 7-12. It is a very rewarding experience to be able to pass the gift of learning to these young minds, motivating and encouraging them to become confident individuals. For me the benefit is the opportunity to do some charitable work that touches the lives of children and makes a difference in their lives so that someday they will have the same opportunities that we dream all children should have.
It is a fabulous program!

Working with TAKSHEEL FOUNDATION gives me an opportunity to help build a strong base to our society. It gives me hope to shape an individuals life, and thereby a family. It shows me how priviledged I am, and how tough it is to survive for those who are not. I have hoped to bring a change and help them to support themselves.

I am doing my Bachelors in Mass Media. As a TF volunteer, I like to see the smiles on my students faces when I teach them. I also feel Taksheel is smiling down at me when he sees me help these children. I strongly feel that these children should also be given the same opportunities for personal growth which in turn will help to spread equality.

schools grow in confidence and self belief only with a simple
tool, that most of us take for granted, English. At TAKSHEEL
FOUNDATION, its our endeavour to equip these youngsters with the most
powerful tool, according to me, EDUCATION.
As a teacher at TF, it gives me great pleasure to do my little bit in contributing
to the hopes and aspirations of these young Indians. It also helps me
fulfil my dream of seeing each Indian prepared to take on the future
on his/her own and hence making India a better place to live in.

I am an Arts student, planning to Major in Psychology. What started as part of the honours programme for college developed into a very satisfying experience. Seeing the direct impact on the students makes me happy and brings a certain level of satisfaction in a way few activities would. I hope to be a part of TF for a long time to come.

I am doing my Hotel Management. The reason I joined TF as a volunteer is because I believe in bridging the gap. I get happiness and self satisfaction that I am able to contribute for a good cause.

"Be the change you want to see" is what I believe in. It gives us a sense of urgency to do instead of wait and to achieve rather than just expect. I hope to fulfill my innate urge to be proactive and the intrinsically human urge to help through becoming a part of TAKSHEEL FOUNDATION and contributing to its growth. Because in the end, eventually, by helping others I am helping myself.
