Current Programs
- Student sponsorship reaching out to 200 students in high school (Stds 8, 9 & 10). This programme covers all educational costs including fees, guides, books, bags,stationary, uniforms & any other education needs that students who avail of the scheme may require.
- An awards programme has been established at the grade 10 levels for both boys and girls in each of the schools. These awards recognise and award academic excellence along with providing monetary grants.
- Lessons in Spoken English and counselling sessions for vocational guidance are provided at a local community centre by volunteers of the organisation. People benefiting from this comprise over 100 students from nearby municipal schools to adult learners like domestic help, drivers, etc. Their enthusiasm is currently matched by our teachers & volunteers.
- Started Spoken English classes at a Balvadi school twice weekly for Stds 5, 6 & 7.
- Started Embroidery & Crochet classes for girls on weekends as part of vocational training.
- Maths & English coaching provided for Class X students.
- English & Commerce coaching for Std XI students.
Future Plans -
- To increase the number of students for sponsorship in each school and then increase the number of schools.
- Education and trips exposure trips to motivate and provide educational benefit are underway.
- To increase the number of students in the Spoken English classes & subsequently increase the number of batches.
- Medical camps at a few municipal schools.
- As part of a fund raising initiative, a series of exhibitions have been organized, the proceeds of which will go towards the financial support provided to the children in various programmes.
